
International calling becomes cheaper from mobiles
T-Mobile is promoting its international bundles available to postpaid subscribers only excluding business registered accounts for calling abroad.
IDD calling is the focus for many operators currently. International rates to certain countries can be as cheap for a subscriber as calling nationally. For example Vodafone UK is offering prepaid customers to call a number in countries including China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Lithuania, Latvia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Thailand, and Turkey for GBP 0.05 and GBP 0.15 perminute for terminating on fixed and mobile networks respectively. Other destinations are charged from GBP 0.75 per minute upwards, with calls to other European countries at GBP 0.85 per minute and the most expenisve call at GBP 1.49 per minute.
